Went briefly back to the music business around
1977, when he co-managed the Belfast punk band
Stiff Little Fingers for a year, leaving only
after the band signed their record deal with Chrysalis
(something he never managed to achieve with Chips).
Colin retired from newspapers on his 50th birthday,
but still fiddles about in journalism, mainly
in the field of equestrian sport.
Bono says he knows him, but Colin cannot remember
ever meeting Bono.
